About Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor Franck D. Joseph II

Franck D. Joseph II is a public speaker, social justice instructor, and leadership coach. Known not only for his leadership, but also for his training and the development of others, he continues to exemplify a life of service which extends beyond himself.  Franck has held a number of senior-level positions in government. Prior to serving as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor for Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Franck served as Deputy Commissioner for the NYC Commission on Human Rights, where he oversaw the agency’s Community Relations Bureau, bias response team, public education efforts, and programming – all focused on informing New Yorkers of their rights and combating discrimination in housing, employment, and public places. Prior to that, Franck served as Chief of Staff to then Council Member Richards, where he helped pass crucial legislation, and also worked in the office of Congress Member Meeks.

Franck D. Joseph II was inspired to dedicate his life to public service due to his own hardships growing up. Losing his father at an early age and being raised by a single mother shaped a lot of his views as he saw the struggles she went through to make ends meet. These circumstances caused Franck to grow up quickly and mature into the person he is today. He has received recognition such as the Queens Impact Award by the Times Ledger in 2017,  City & State Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in 2019, Haitian Time’s 2019 Newsmakers, Stony Brook University’s 40 under 40 Alumni for 2019, Haitian Roundtable’s 2020 Haitian Independence Award, City & State Magazine’s 2020 Queens Heroes List, amongst others. Franck is a proud Southeast Queens resident.
