QUEENS, NY – As part of an effort to address outstanding issues impacting the residents of Northwest Queens, Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. will hold the first in his series of regional town hall meetings on Wednesday, September 22, at 6:30 PM.

The town hall will occur at the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens, located at 21-12 30th Road in Astoria, and will feature representatives from City agencies like the New York City Police Department, the New York City Housing Authority, the New York City Department of Sanitation, and others. The representatives will listen to concerns raised by the community members in attendance and work to correct any problems brought up.

Borough President Richards, representatives from Community Boards 1, 2, 3 and 4, and local elected officials will also be in attendance to gather feedback on local issues from the Northwest Queens community.

The September 22 town hall is co-sponsored by U.S. Representatives Carolyn Maloney and Grace Meng, State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky, Assembly Members Jeffrion Aubry, Brian Barnwell, Catalina Cruz, Jessica Gonzalez-Rojas and Catherine Nolan, Council Members Daniel Dromm and Jimmy Van Bramer, and Community Boards 1, 2, 3 and 4.

All those who wish to attend the town hall must present proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or the results of a recent negative COVID-19 test. Masks will have to be worn at all times during the event.
