QUEENS BOROUGH CABINET TO HEAR ABOUT EFFORTS TO ENCOURAGE RESIDENTS TO VOLUNTEER AT CITY PARKS

QUEENS, NY –The Queens Borough Cabinet, chaired by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will hold an in-person meeting Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 9:30 AM.

The meeting will include a presentation from the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYC Parks) about “Let’s Green NYC,” a citywide initiative to recruit a record number of residents to do volunteer work in city parks in 2024. The initiative will celebrate the hundreds of diverse volunteer groups who already actively care for parks and  greenspaces and encourage thousands of new volunteers to help enhance the city’s parks and environment.

This meeting will be conducted in-person in the Borough President’s second-floor conference room at Queens Borough Hall, located at 120-55 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org and on the Borough President’s YouTube page.
