QBP RICHARDS TO HOST PUBLIC HEARING ON FY23 QUEENS BUDGET PRIORITIES

QUEENS, NY – The Queens Borough Board, chaired by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will host a virtual public hearing on the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2023 Preliminary Expense and Capital Budget on Monday, March 7 at 10am.

The purpose of the hearing, held via Zoom, is to obtain testimony from Queens Community Boards, community stakeholders and members of the public regarding the proposals contained in the Mayor’s FY23 Preliminary Budget. During the hearing, community stakeholders including, but not limited to, local organizations will respond to the FY23 Preliminary Budget. This input will be used to develop the Queens Borough Board’s FY23 budget priorities in the coming weeks.

Those seeking City funding are encouraged to visit www.queensbp.org/budget to find the applications for FY23 Discretionary Capital Funding and FY23 Discretionary Expense Funding that will be allocated by Borough President Richards.

Originally planned for Tuesday, March 1, the hearing has been rescheduled for Monday, March 7 due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict.
