Finalist Team Line-Up Technology Category: Peconaq: An Ed-Tech platform that supports parents with homeschooling their children Park Watch : An innovative mobile parking application that helps users (primarily NYC residents and commuters) navigate to their destination and find free, convenient parking in major cities. FiTKO: An early-stage fitness tech startup founded by engineering students currently developing an IoT device known as “The Boxing Coach.” Sustainability Category: XING STUDIOS: A sustainable fashion label centering heritage, healing, vulnerability, and intimacy Wilk Apiary, Inc: Sustainable beekeeping Community category: Golden Lab Bookshop: A Latinx Owned Bookshop celebrating diversity and inclusivity Tikkun BBQ: A community and mission-driven mobile BBQ pop-up which operates monthly. Bella's Day Care: A 24 Hour Home Based Licensed Day Care located in Queens Food category: Biltong Foods: A better-for-you alternative to traditional jerky giving consumers more protein, zero sugar and zero additives in every serving Big Shane's Ice Cream: An Ice Cream inspired by Irish taste buds Dekkade Pastonade : An all-natural seasoning that serves as a Marinade + Dressing + Pesto + Sauce + Condiment About the Queens StartUP! The StartUP! Competition is a 4-month program for Queens-based startup founders and small business entrepreneurs who are at the early stages of developing their businesses. The program is run by Queens Economic Development Corporation. We believe that inclusion is an economic imperative and entrepreneurship is open to everyone, regardless of your gender, race or birthplace. This program is funded by a grant from Resorts World Casino New York City, with support from the Srivastava Technology Fund.
