Boots on the Ground Roundtable Meeting: Hearing Loss and Older Adults: New Apps, Resources, Tips & Low-Cost Tech
Hearing Loss is a common issue impacting a third of older adults age 65 and older. When unaddressed, hearing loss is associated with an increased risk of social isolation, depression and cognitive decline and puts a strain on communication. Join us for an informative session covering free apps and new resources that can help you make your programs, events, and conversations more accessible and inclusive for older adults with hearing loss. The session will also cover information about the new category of over-the-counter hearing aids — what you need to know and who will benefit from them. LiveOn NY’s Boots on the Ground Roundtable (BOTGR) is a virtual, supportive, solution-driven space for direct aging service professionals and others to obtain and share resources, information, innovative ideas, and network with other professionals in an effort to stay connected and work collaboratively to continue serving older New Yorkers.
