Borough President Richards Hosts Joint Meeting of Queens Borough Board and Queens Borough Cabinet
The Queens Borough Board and the Queens Borough Cabinet, both chaired by Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will hold a joint virtual meeting on Monday, July 11, at 5:30 PM. The meeting will include a presentation from Keith Howard, the recently appointed commissioner of the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Mr. Howard will outline the role of DYCD, which supports New York City youth and their families by funding a wide range of high-quality youth and community development programs aimed at alleviating the effects of poverty and providing opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. The meeting will also include a presentation from NYC Emergency Management about the City’s efforts to prepare for coastal storms and to provide resources to New Yorkers to help them respond to severe weather. This meeting will be conducted virtually with Borough Board members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org
