Our concert is dedicated to: James Thomas Grace (16 Mar 1927 – 14 Aug 1999)
Deacon at St. Benedict Labre in Richmond Hill and resident of Richmond Hill And his son Peter Grace (d. 1995)
Yejin Han is born in South Korea, and showed her musical talent at young age by winning piano competitions and playing solo and chamber music concerts. As an emerging artist, she was featured as a soloist to perform with several orchestras including Brevard Summer Festival Orchestra, Colorado Summer Festival Orchestra, and Louisiana State University Symphony Orchestra, however, she shifted her focus from public performance to helping others to achieve their goals and her students frequently perform at prestigious venues, such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center as winners from the piano competitions. She has been appointed as a Chairperson of Regional World Piano Competition for Youth Division in the late 2000 as well as a frequent adjudicator for music competitions.
After almost 20 yrs of long hiatus from playing piano, her passion brought her back to the stage once again and she has given several solo recitals in yr 2019 and has appeared as a soloist with Association of Classical Musicians and Artist Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in November 2019 and she is scheduled to give more solo recitals in 2020. She firmly believes everyone deserve the second chance and we should live our dreams regardless our ages.
