The Douglaston LDC, in an effort to serve the rising food insecurity needs of the community, is pleased to announce that it is expanding its efforts through multiple community partnerships, for a Douglaston Community Food Share beginning on February 28th, 2021. Thanks to the generous support of La Jornada NY Food Pantry, in supplying the food donations; and City Councilman Paul Vallone and the NYC Dept. of Youth & Community Development for support, the Douglaston LDC is able to partner with our community churches: Zion Episcopal Church (on the last Sunday of each month) and the Community Church of Douglaston (on the second Sunday of each month) to provide a food box distribution to those in need, in our community.
