
On Saturday, October 1st, volunteers can join us and NYC Council Majority Whip Selvena N. Brooks-Powers from 11am – 2pm at the corner of Beach 43rd St. & Beach Channel Dr. to pick up litter, nourish street trees with DSNY compost, and help make a meaningful impact.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Volunteers will spend time removing litter from street tree pits, applying compost — made with food scraps collected through NYC’s compost collection program and planting daffodil bulbs!
WHAT TO WEAR
We encourage you to wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty & closed-toe shoes.
Hats and sunglasses are also recommended

Please bring your own water bottle & sunscreen
There is no onsite storage for valuables, please only bring necessities. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
RESTROOM ACCESS
We cannot guarantee access to a public restroom during the event. Please plan accordingly.
