GROOVE NYC – Dance for Kids at Socrates Sculpture Park

Socrates hosts GROOVE NYC dance sessions to give kids permission to move without judgment! Engage expression through dance and music while supporting social-emotional learning. Co-facilitated by Maria Gutierrez and GROOVE college interns. For kids 5-10 years old, parents/caregivers welcome. GROOVE NYC Builds Community and Social Emotional Awareness Through the Healing Arts! Using Music, Dance, Mindful Movement and Meditation to bring people together and celebrate the JOY of Authentic Expression. GROOVE NYC works with communities across NYC via intergenerational, inclusive, and participatory dance and movement experiences that are non-competitive, experience-based and promote an environment where people of all abilities and skillset succeed. Our mission is to empower people to see things in a different way, to have their own perspective, and express themselves freely. We seek to infuse movement into the lives of all NYers because Art & Dance is for everyBODY!
