Borough President Richards Hosts a Virtual Town Hall on NYC City Council Redistricting
Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. will host a town hall meeting on the process of drawing new district lines for the 51 districts that make up the New York City Council. The event will be held Wednesday, September 13 at 6 p.m. The City Council's district maps are redrawn every 10 years based on Census data. The lines being drawn now will take effect for the 2023 City Council election. Town hall participants will be able to ask questions of local experts from Citizens Union, CUNY Graduate Center and other entities about what redistricting means for our communities.
