Commonpoint Queens is excited to offer a variety of service projects for volunteers in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. Opportunities will be available at the Sam Field Center (Little Neck), Central Queens (Forest Hills), and Youth Opportunity Hub (Jamaica) including: Central Queens (Forest Hills): Helping to prepare non-perishable spice packets to donate to a local food pantry Daffodil bulb planting to beautify the community Blood drive from 10AM-4PM Sam Field Center (Little Neck): Helping to prepare non-perishable oatmeal packages to donate to a local food pantry Creating a mural out of puzzle pieces to beautify the community Crafting handmade cards to mail to older adults throughout the year Youth Opportunity Hub (Jamaica): Helping to prepare hot chocolate packets Making cards for isolated seniors To register, please click here and select “MLK Day of Service Sam Field”, “MLK Day of Service Central Queens,” or “MLK Day of Service at our Youth Opportunity Hub” under Opportunities to Serve.
