Queens Memory Live

Join the Queens Memory Project team and the QPL bookmobile from 4-8pm on Tuesday, June 21st at Travers Park in Jackson Heights for a showcase of performances from musicians, storytellers, and poets. This live outdoor event will celebrate the third season of the Queens Memory Podcast, “Our Major Minor Voices,” which explores the rich and diverse experiences of our borough’s Asian American communities. Featuring: 4:15: Tibetan dance performance by Sonam Wangdue 4:45: Atlantic Pacific Theatre presents a reading by Kat Almirañez 5:00: Musical performance by Pu Poo Platter 5:30: Poetry reading by Pasang Sherpa 5:45: Musical performance by Matthew Wang 6:15: Poetry reading by Naznin Seamon and Hassanal Abdullah 6:30: Dance performance by Kinding Sindaw 7:00: Reading by Bushra Rehman 7:15: Musical Finale by DJ Rekha This program is made possible through the support of the New York State Assembly Queens Delegation and is presented as part of the 16th annual Make Music New York celebrations happening across NYC on the first day of summer, June 21st.
