Restore Golden Pond with Friends and Cord Meyer

In Partnership with NYC Parks, volunteers will use trash grabbers, skimmers and rakes to clear litter out of the pond, helping to uphold its reputation as the “jewel of Bayside.” Golden Pond’s beauty has brought stewards to this pond over the decades. Taking ownership of our greenspaces is part of Bayside’s history. Friends of Crocheron is proud to announce our new local sponsor, Cord Meyer, and to work with their employees and local volunteers to clean up Our Pond. The pond is a critical part of the community. It is a stop off for many migratory birds and park goers enjoy the pond throughout the year. Unfortunately, some park goers leave trash behind and it pollutes the pond. We will use trash grabbers, skimmers, and rakes to clear litter and beautify Golden Pond. The first volunteers to attend the event will receive a free shirt as a thank you! Event is from 11AM - 1PM.
