Town Hall Meeting on Local Law 97
Council Member Sandra Ung and Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. will be hosting an informational town hall together with the Department of Buildings and Accelerator NYC regarding the implementation of Local Law 97.
The town hall will take place on June 20th 6PM-8PM at PS 214.
Under Local Law 97, passed in 2019, most buildings over 25,000 square feet will be required to meet new energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission limits by 2024, with stricter limits taking effect in 2030. Buildings that exceed carbon limits face large fines.
Town hall attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the Department of Buildings and ask questions.
