WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH--Greek Film: PAUSE
Hellenic Film Society USA is proud to mark Women’s History Month with a screening of the award-winning Greek film, PAUSE on Sunday, March 8 at 4pm at the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) in Astoria.
In this film, written, directed, and produced by women, Elpida (whose name literally means “hope”) is trapped in a loveless marriage and begins to fantasize about taking revenge on her boorish husband. When a young painter enters her life, the line between fantasy and reality begins to blur. Pause is in Greek with English subtitles. The film is presented in association with New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT). For tickets: http://www.movingimage.us/visit/calendar/2020/03/08/detail/pause-pafsi
