A beautifully acted one-woman play about the electrifying life of writer and renaissance hero Zora Neale Hurston. Journey through Hurston's life, a small town Florida girl who, after losing her mother at the age of nine, was subsequently raised by a rotation of relatives but never lost HOPE and dreamed BIG. Making her move to New York in 1925 with "$1.50, no job, no friends and a lot of hope", Hurston became the first black woman to attend Barnard College and Columbia University and left an indelible mark as one of the greatest writers of the Harlem Renaissance.
