QUEENS BOROUGH BOARD TO VOTE ON OPEN RESTAURANTS TEXT AMENDMENT AND HEAR PRESENTATION ON REDISTRICTING

QUEENS, NY –The Queens Borough Board, chaired by Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will hold a virtual meeting on Monday, October 4 at 5:30 PM.

The meeting will feature a Borough Board vote on the Permanent Open Restaurants Text Amendment, a zoning text amendment proposed by the New York City Department of City Planning (DCP) and the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT), which would remove geographic restrictions where sidewalk cafes are located.

The meeting will also include an update from the New York State Independent Redistricting Commission on its efforts to redraw the state’s legislative districts in response to the results of the 2020 Census.

This meeting will be conducted virtually with Borough Board members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org.
