"WE BELONG HERE : LE QUEENS S'ÉLÈVE CONTRE LA HAINE" À FLUSHING

Joined by community leaders and residents from across The World’s Borough, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., U.S. Rep. Grace Meng and New York State Attorney General Letitia James will proudly present an anti-hate march entitled “We Belong Here: Queens Rises Against Hate” on Sunday, May 2 at 12:30 PM in Flushing, in a show of solidarity with New York City’s Asian American community — a community that nationwide has been the unjust target of a shameful onslaught of racist hate for more than a year, for no other reason than their ethnicity. The May 2 event will begin with a brief rally outside Flushing Town Hall at 137-35 Northern Boulevard, from which the march will step off. The march will then proceed east on Northern Boulevard, south on Union Street, west on Sanford Avenue, north on Main Street and east on Northern Boulevard — concluding back at Flushing Town Hall. Members of the public interested in participating in the march are asked to RSVP at www.queensbp.org/rsvp

Le président de l'arrondissement du Queens, Donovan Richards Jr, la représentante des États-Unis Grace Meng et la procureure générale de l'État de New York Letitia James, rejoints par des dirigeants communautaires et des résidents de l'arrondissement du monde entier, seront fiers de présenter une marche contre la haine intitulée "We Belong Here : Queens Rises Against Hate", le dimanche 2 mai à 12h30 à Flushing, en signe de solidarité avec la communauté asiatique américaine de New York - une communauté qui, à l'échelle nationale, est la cible injuste d'un assaut honteux de haine raciste depuis plus d'un an, pour la seule raison de son appartenance ethnique.

L'événement du 2 mai commencera par un bref rassemblement devant l'hôtel de ville de Flushing, au 137-35 Northern Boulevard, d'où partira la marche. La marche se dirigera ensuite vers l'est sur le boulevard Northern, le sud sur la rue Union, l'ouest sur l'avenue Sanford, le nord sur la rue Main et l'est sur le boulevard Northern - pour se terminer à l'hôtel de ville de Flushing.
