Much has changed in our home borough in recent years. A new LaGuardia Airport is taking flight, with Kennedy Airport not too far behind it. The $153 million Jamaica NOW Action Plan has revitalized one of our most historic neighborhoods. The New York State Pavilion is now saved, while our Vietnam War veterans and their families now have a permanent memorial that honors their sacrifice. While our borough of 2.4 million people has emerged as one of remarkable growth and as a global destination, we remain a borough of families. The future is here and brighter than it has ever been before.
