QUEENS BOROUGH CABINET TO HEAR PRESENTATIONS ON SERVICES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AND AT-RISK YOUTH

QUEENS, NY –The Queens Borough Cabinet, chaired by Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, November 9 at 9:30 AM.

The meeting will feature a presentation from JASA – Legal Services for Elder Justice (LSEJ) about the free legal services it offers to Queens residents aged 60 and over. JASA-LSEJ helps senior citizens protect themselves from foreclosure and eviction, elder abuse, deed theft scams, and other forms of mistreatment.

The meeting will also include a presentation from the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) on its Queens Children’s Mobile Crisis Team, which responds quickly to help at-risk children and adolescents facing mental health issues by providing emotional support to them and their families.

This meeting will be conducted virtually with Borough Cabinet members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org.
