QUEENS, NY – The 14 Queens Community Boards and Acting Queens Borough President Sharon Lee will hold a boroughwide “Queens Week of Service” between February 10-17, 2020.
“A true hallmark of our borough is the volunteerism and generosity so many Queens families exercise in service to their neighbors and their neighborhoods,” said Borough President LEE. “Please consider donating even a brief moment of your time to build a healthier and safer Borough of Families.”
Community Boards will host resource collection events at their respective offices, including:
- Donating new pairs of socks to homeless individuals throughout the borough in partnership with Monkworkx Corp.
- Collecting items needed by patients at the St. Albans Veterans Administration Medical Center, including toothpaste, body lotion, body wash, zippered hooded sweatshirts and sweatpants with drawstrings.
