QUEENS, NY – Borough President Melinda Katz announced an allocation of $32 million of her Fiscal Year 2016 discretionary capital funds for important construction, renovations and upgrades across 37 public parks in Queens. Queens is the largest borough of five in the City of New York with 7,273 acres of parkland, which amounts to just over 10 percent of the borough’s total land mass.
