QUEENS, NY – Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. will hold a hybrid Public Hearing on Land Use. The hearing will be held in person at Queens Borough Hall (120-55 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens), with members of the public also able to testify virtually. In addition, the hearing will be streamed live at www.queensbp.org.

  1. An application submitted by the NYC Department of Transportation and the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services for the site selection and acquisition of property located at 47-25 34th Street in Long Island City in Queens Community District 2. (ULURP #230367 PCQ)
  • An application submitted by the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services for the disposition of a city-owned property located at 97-22 Cresskill Place in Jamaica in Queens Community District 12. (ULURP 240061 PPQ)
  • An application submitted by GWY Realty Inc. for an amendment of the Zoning Map stablishing within an existing R7A District a C2-4 District bounded by Baxter Avenue, a line 100 feet northeasterly of Broadway, Pettit Avenue, and Broadway. Location is in Elmhurst in Queens Community District 4 (ULURP #240075 ZMQ)
  • An application submitted by the NYC Department of City Planning for a citywide zoning text amendment to allow gaming facilities as a permitted use in certain commercial districts and manufacturing districts in the Zoning Resolution. This modification would allow a gaming facility licensed by the State and developed through a new State defined siting process to be developed without regard to any potential conflict with the Zoning Resolution. Those who wish to testify virtually must register in advance by visiting http://www.queensbp.org/landuse and submitting their contact information. Each registrant will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to participate in the virtual public hearing.

Speaking time can also be arranged by calling (718) 286-3000 between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. prior to the date of the hearing.

If you are testifying virtually you must identify yourself before you speak, keep your camera on during your testimony, display your name accurately on Zoom and state your name for the record; otherwise, you might not be permitted to testify absent prior approval from the Queens Borough President’s Office. Written testimony is welcome from those unable to testify live. All written testimony must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 and may be submitted by e-mail to [email protected] or by conventional mail sent to the Office of the Queens Borough President at 120-55 Queens Boulevard – Room 226, Kew Gardens, NY 114244.
