QBP RICHARDS TO HOST MEDIA ROUNDTABLE CALLING FOR PASSAGE OF INFRASTRUCTURE BILL

QUEENS, NY – In the wake of last week’s devastating Hurricane Ida, which illustrated the need for infrastructure improvements that can help Queens cope with the damaging impacts of global warming. Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, the Queens Congressional Delegation, other elected officials and community leaders will hold a media roundtable calling for the passage of the federal infrastructure bill now pending in Congress. The bill would fund new projects that would enhance our resiliency against climate change while also paying for the repair of deteriorating roads and bridges as well as the improved delivery of broadband service, among other important initiatives.

The media roundtable is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8 at 11:30 AM via Zoom. Members of the media who wish to participate should both register here and send an RSVP email to [email protected]
