QUEENS BOROUGH CABINET TO RECEIVE UPDATES ON VETERANS’ SERVICES; CIVIC ENGAGEMENT EFFORTS

QUEENS, NY –The Queens Borough Cabinet, chaired by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, February 7, at 9:30 AM.

The meeting will feature a presentation from the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS) about the resources and services available to military veterans living in New York City.

The meeting will also include an update from the New York City Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) on its work to enhance civic participation, promote civic trust, and strengthen democracy in New York City. The presentation will specifically touch on the CEC’s programs related to Community Boards and participatory budgeting.

This meeting will be conducted virtually with Borough Cabinet members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org.
