QUEENS BOROUGH CABINET TO HEAR ABOUT CITY’S OUTDOOR DINING PROGRAM; RECEIVE UPDATES FROM HEALTH DEPARTMENT

QUEENS, NY –The Queens Borough Cabinet, chaired by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will hold a rescheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 2024, at 9:30 am. This meeting was originally scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
The meeting will include a presentation from the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) on the launch of the city’s permanent outdoor dining program, called “Dining Out NYC.” This program is replacing the temporary outdoor dining program begun as an emergency measure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the Borough Cabinet will receive an update from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) regarding COVID-19, Flu and RSV trends and some current DOHMH initiatives.
The meeting will also include updates from representatives from other city agencies about recent developments at their agencies.
This meeting will be conducted in-person in the Borough President’s second-floor conference room at Queens Borough Hall, located at 120-55 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens. Some Borough Cabinet members will also be participating virtually, and the meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org and on the Borough President’s YouTube page.
