(February 23, 2024 at 12pm)

QUEENS, NY – Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. will kick off “Borough Hall on Your Block: Central Queens” on Monday, February 26, with a visit to Commonpoint Queens’ Central Queens Adult and Older Adult Center, where he will announce his allocation of $325,000 for senior services across the borough.

The 12pm visit to the center, located at 67-09 108th Street in Forest Hills, is another highlight of Borough President Richards’ commitment to providing our borough’s senior citizens with the services they need and deserve.

The Borough President’s $325,000 allocation is split between dozens of different senior centers and community service organizations (CBOs) across the borough to support various programmatic needs at those sites. Such programs include including immigration and cultural services, food insecurity prevention, case management and more.

Members of the media who wish to attend the event are asked to RSVP by emailing [email protected] or calling 718-286-2640.

“Borough Hall on Your Block: Central Queens” is taking place from Monday, February 26 through Saturday, March 2. It will bring a wide range of public events to Community Districts 6 and 9 — covering Forest Hills, Rego Park, Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven and Ozone Park — including a town hall meeting, a job fair, an immigrant resource fair, capital funding announcements, a youth opportunities mixer and mobile office hours hosted by the Borough President’s Constituent Services department.
