BOROUGH CABINET TO HEAR BUDGET BRIEFING FROM SEN. GIANARIS AND PRESENTATION ON QUEENS DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVES

QUEENS, NY – The Queens Borough Cabinet, chaired by Borough President Donovan Richards, Jr., will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, April 13, at 9:30 AM.
The meeting will feature a presentation from Senator Michael Gianaris, the Deputy Majority Leader of the New York State Senate, regarding the recently adopted New York State budget for Fiscal Year 2022.
The meeting will also include a presentation from the Office of Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz on the office’s Community Partnerships Bureau, which takes a multi-faceted approach to provide opportunities for individuals to make a positive contribution to Queens so that crime is not their only option. This bureau reaches out to civic and non-profit organizations, clergy and elected officials, creates programs, sponsors events, and engages with every neighborhood throughout Queens, reducing crime and increasing justice for all.
This Borough Cabinet meeting will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 9:30 AM. It will be conducted virtually, with Borough Cabinet members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org.
