BOROUGH CABINET TO HEAR PRESENTATIONS ABOUT STREET SAFETY, STREET ACTIVITY PERMITS, AND COVID-19 EMOTIONAL SUPPORT

QUEENS, NY – The Queens Borough Cabinet, chaired by Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, June 8 at 9:30 AM.

The meeting will feature a presentation from NY Project Hope about its COVID-19 Support Helpline, which helps New Yorkers cope with their reactions and emotions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. NY Project Hope crisis counselors offer free, confidential, and anonymous emotional support through the Helpline at 1-844-863-9314.

In addition, the meeting will include a presentation from the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) on the implementation of the NYC Streets Plan to improve safety on City streets. It will also include an update on the process for securing permits for street activities in New York City.

This Borough Cabinet meeting will be conducted virtually with Borough Cabinet members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org.
